2011 Flower Count Correspondent

I wanted to share this little mash up with you. A couple weeks ago the annual Flower Count took place in Victoria. Basically the idea is that the city is embracing Spring… and what better way then by counting flowers. I was sent on assignment by the JACK FM morning show to help count the flowers and this is what happened.

I’m still suffering from the pollen… does anyone have any Claritin? I would like to be Claritin clear now!

Extra - WEEEEE!

Yes, I’m alive! There will be a double post to explain everything that is going on, but first… I saw this commercial today and I laughed so hard I had to find it online and share it with you. What do you think?

Now that I hopefully made you laugh, read the next post to get caught up with everything!

Extra - Winning the Game of School

Courtesy of Everything is Terrible this video almost seems too ridiculous to be true. Everything is Terrible basically finds those random, “I-can’t-believe-they-did-that” videos and posts them on their website. This video though… wow! Not only do James and Jennifer have TONS of “enthusiasm” for teaching the art of achieving in school, but then they get sort of angry. “This time do the actions… or I will feast on your brains” Well I added the last bit, but it’s definitely implied. Also… anyone else pick up a hidden message in the perfect hand raising segment? Seemed a little… I dunno how to say it in a non-offensive way so I’ll just say… a little Germany circa 1939-1945? Just sayin’ haha. Either way it made me feel awkward and ashamed that this stuff ever went on TV, just what a perfect viral video should do.

Extra: Trailer for Every Oscar-Winning Movie Ever!

Incase this is the first post you have read on “The Industry”, let me first say “Welcome” but also let me inform you that you are reading the blog of a YouTube addicted, unemployed radio guy. HAHA. I saw this video a while ago but I recently stumbled across it again and I forgot how awesome it is. I always find it amazing how much work and thought goes into online videos. It actually caused me to almost spew chocolate milk out of my nose… you’ve been warned!

Enjoy and if you have a funny, cool or interesting video you know what you have to do. Send it to me. Twitter (@mitchhawes) or email it to me: mitch.hawes@gmail.com.

Market Catchphrase!
