The Industry

First of all, let me just hit the caps lock button to say…. WHY IN GOD’S NAME IS PHOTOSHOP BEING DUMB AGAIN AND NOT LETTING ME MAKE MY BLOG PHOTO?! HMMMM? RIDDLE ME THIS! Alright, enough of that, anywhozle… If you cast your mind back to some of the stories that the radio pros have shared previously (if you’re new, click on archive and find some) you will remember that the majority of them talked about paying your dues at your first radio gig and guess what? It’s my turn!

This is beyond awesome for me because, yet again, it is another step to show that I am actually doing this whole radio thing. In other words, it’s not that big of a deal and in fact it should be pretty entertaining… sweaty… but entertaining.

“Mitch, get to the point already”. Okay, okay, impatient version of myself, let me explain in two words.

Mascot Competition!

I, Mitch Hawes will be wearing the one and only, bright pink, prize pig costume tomorrow night at a lacrosse game. Beyond this whole thing, I’m going to be doing challenges against other mascots. A quick round of lacrosse and then an obstacle course! The only problem? Jack the Prize Pig has very limited mobility and therefore I’m at a disadvantage as other mascots have full use of their legs but, if anything, it should be more entertaining! 

Now I was never the athletic kid in school, but I was the theater kid so I am, and will “ham” (get it?!) it up to the extreme. Talk about paying the dues. However, like I said it is not a bad thing, just working my way up, one pig costume at a time.
