Day Forty Three/Four - Campin’ & Schtuff

Big yawn. If you were able to read “yawn” without yawning, you get bonus points. That’s a pretty amazing skill. I almost guarantee that it is in the Guinness World Record Book beside that lady with a four inch waist and the guy with a beard of bees. Check it out! Anywhozle (pronounced: any-who-zull), this whole yawn thing is brought on by the fact that I went up island with my best friend to her families cabin on Lake Cowichan yesterday and it was a hoot!

Any good camping/cabin-ing experience is comprised of four parts. Four very scientific parts:

1) Swimming
2) Mass amounts of junk food
3) Relaxing (with mass amounts of junk food)
4) Campfire (complete with s’mores &/or banana boats)

This formula is non-negotiable when out in the wilderness. 10 out of 10 Pediatricians agree with it. It’s just how things are, and being the rule keeper that I am, I followed these guidelines to a tee.

The weather was amazing, the cabin was awesome and we had brought enough junk food for a week (but through the powers of vacation, we consumed it in one day…impressive I know, that too is in the Guinness Book somewhere).  The water was refreshing (even if my prescription sunglasses were swallowed by the vast body of water). Add in the fact that we stayed up late (like you always do when camping) and consumed even more junk food by the fire… I was slightly sleepy today.

Not to worry, a couple hours sleep was all I needed before driving back down to Victoria to meet with my new work team! I went into Jack FM today and met the fellow promo-team peeps and a bunch of other people (don’t quiz me on names. If I call you, “You” don’t hurt me). This is when I learned that I will be working tomorrow (first shift!) helping out with a pool party! Seriously…. my job is going to a pool party *insert jealousy here*.

So I can’t wait for that and then on Saturday I’m helping out at a fundraising/golf tournament! WOOT!

I’ll make sure to keep you in the loop and again, there will always be something posted daily to the blog (except for when I go to cabins… :) ) whether it is a daily post or just an extra so always check daily!

But for now….

sleepy time.
