Day Forty One - WOOT WOOT!
HOLY BANANA BREAD BATMAN!!!!! Remember that time when I was applying for every job under the sun, every day? Remember the frustrations I was encountering… “The Funk”? What about that job interview I had last week? Well guess what?…
You are now reading the blog of an EMPLOYED radio broadcaster! WOOT WOOT! I got the call this afternoon saying I got the part time promotions/cruiser position at (I guess I can say it now) Jack FM and The Ocean here in Victoria! I can’t tell you how oober excited I am. Forty days went by and I was starting to think that I would never get a job and here I am! My first shift is this Saturday!
I apologize if there are any typo’s in this post, due to the fact that I am still doing my patented, often intimidated, never mastered happy dance. It’s a great feeling, having my foot in the door.
“But wait?! Mitch, what about the blog? The whole purpose of it was to chronicle your journey into the industry. How will I bare to turn on my computer knowing that your blog’s mission is completed?”
Have no fear amazing and loyal reader. This blog isn’t going anywhere. It’s just going to change forms a little bit. So instead of it focusing on me getting a job, I’m going to continue it as normal, but talk more about what the industry is like. I only have a part-time job… I still have a long way to go before I get my own syndicated show or something haha. So the blog is remaining, I’m still going to try and get more stories and all that fun stuff, so stop hyperventilating, it can’t be good for you.
PHEW!
Now I’m going to go do my happy dance in the streets of Victoria… if you see me join in! Oh man, let’s make a conga line to Jack FM! I’ll meet you downtown haha.
-Mitch
