Day Thirty Three - R & R
I’m not a very religious person but I know it’s stated somewhere that the seventh day is for rest and I wanted to make sure that I followed all the rules. Today was one of those days that you finally roll over in bed, blink and then stare at your alarm clock because for some reason it says it’s one in the afternoon, but the weird part? You don’t care and in fact, you roll back over and go back to sleep. You know what I’m talking about good ol’ fashioned R & R.
I literally didn’t move my butt out of bed until one this afternoon. I am almost tempted to say that is a personal record, seeing as how I went to bed early last night. When I finally decided that it was time to get out of the warm, comfy, heaven of a bed, (which was really because my bladder was about to burst… but you don’t need to know that) I looked outside and discovered that it was half-decent out. I opened the pool, put on the bathing suit lathered myself in SPF 100, (or at least it felt like it… think of trying to rub paste into your skin) and floated all day, or what was left of it.
Now I recognize that this sounds incredibly obnoxious. (In a british accent) “Yes I am going to go for a luxurious dip in the pool for the day while Gerald the Butler peels my grapes” but I assure you I don’t mean it to be and if it makes you feel better I was suffering all day with sore muscles from golfing. Stop laughing. You use a lot of muscles while playing golf, so trying to remain above the water was proving to be a true test of endurance. HAHA.
So again I know this is completely non-radio related, but it’s Sunday, no one that I need to contact works on a Sunday, so I might as well relax like they are.
