Day Thirty Two - Golf
I know another really late post… but I’m still going to make the 12 am deadline, so don’t panic… the reason? I actually had a life today! “What? Mitch that’s impossible…”, I know, normally you would be right, but not today, today I actually got out of the house!
If you remember yesterday I was telling you all about how my sister was throwing a baby shower for her friend. Well today was the day and because I didn’t want to be around 30 women talking about babies and the miracle of birth, my dad and I headed out to go play some golf.
Now anyone who knows me knows that sports… well, they are not my thing, in other words… I suck at sports. However, golf, while it is a sport, is a sport that I can manage. Usually I don’t do very well, but I make it threw, usually with a tremendously large score (which is the point right?). But today…. oh man! Today I was granted the gift of a good game. Over 200 yard drives, amazing chips, long putts… I WAS ON FIRE!
I apologize for people who find reading about sports just as boring as watching or actually playing (usually I’m with you).
I’m still beaming because the best part is I BEAT MY DAD! Ok well not in final score… he shot a 105 I had a 112. Now take into consideration that this is my first time golfing in 2 years… my Dad golfs every other week or so, so I was impressed. I beat my Dad though because we were keeping track of how many golf balls we lost in the woods or in the water. The ridiculous total. I lost 12 in 18 holes (understandable… I never play)…. my Dad? 15! 15 balls in one round of golf, that is almost a ball on every hole… just embarrassing hahaha. So basically I had an amazing game, I beat my Dad and when I got home there was extra baby shower cake and a steak ready for me to eat… do I have a fantastic life or what? Now if only I could get a job!
I’ll fill you in on more radio stuff in the next couple days… for now I am going to go to bed as I can already feel all my muscles tightening up and I’m afraid if I wait another 30 minutes I will not be able to get out of this chair.
