Day Twenty Six - Questions!
Seeing as how I really did nothing today… seriously it’s almost pathetic, I decided let’s make this site a dialogue. I want this to be interactive, so go ahead. Ask me anything. From radio questions to pop culture to that weird youtube video that only a hardcore viral vid watcher would appreciate (like myself) BRING IT ON! Q: Hazel asks: Do you ever get stage fright? Any advice to those who do?
A: It is beyond a myth that radio people don’t get stage fright. I am no exception. I love acting and if I’m on stage playing a character I don’t really get nervous however, if I’m “myself” like emceeing and event, I do tend to get stage fright. The whole enchilada; sweaty hands, cotton mouth, you name it. However my biggest trick for this is not imagining everyone naked… that just gets awkward, its more about knowing your stuff. If you rehearse what you are going to say you won’t even notice that a bunch of people are looking at you. Relax, breathe and just talk like your talking with your best friend! This is a trick for being on the radio but it works anytime you have to talk to a group. Hope this helps. Thanks Hazel!
