Holiday Jet-Lag
The holidays always bring that sense of happiness. Family, friends and baked goods, especially baked goods. Of course, with that said it also brings a sense of overwhelming anxiety usually centered around “did I remember everyone on my list?” or more importantly “do I have enough baked goods?”. I hope you had a great holiday season: Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Festivus (have to be politically correct right?). I sure did, thanks for asking and with the holidays coming to a close and the new year upon us, I made a resolution… make this year the year that I find my place in the industry.
Bold? Maybe, but definitely do-able. Starting with going full-force at the station. Production shifts to mopping the floors. I’m in like flint (one of those phrases I say often, but have no idea what it means…). Besides getting in everyones face until they have to give me a full-time job, I’m also working on a lot of new content for the blog. More audio sure-shot countdowns, more contributions from industry professionals, more hopefully, witty banter! The blog is going to climb, more so that is.
With that said I want to have more “audience contribution”. So if there is something that you would like to get industry pro’s to talk about like CANCON requirements, or ratings or anything else, send me an email to feedback@theradioindustry.com and I will hunt some people down to answer your questions.
As always,
Thanks for reading, and just to sound completely cliche, let’s kick off the new year with a bang!
